If you go down to the pond today, you are in for a big surprise… A cache called Frog Hollow which was placed in 2019 by Nicko57 in the town of Millicent in the South East of South Australia. It is located in Lake McIntyre which is a Wetland hosting prolific bird life, walking trails, native trees & vegetation. There is a free gas BBQ and picnic areas.
The month of February gets us down on our knees and crawling. Your GPS will get you to the entrance but the challenge is to overcome any fears you have about dark, confined spaces. It does not end here though as Amongst Ya Dirty Knees! can be a tricky cache to find.
The Limestone Coast is abundant with sinkholes. This one is popular with tourists who visit Mt Gambier. The well maintained gardens are a feature as you walk down the staircase to the bottom of the sinkhole.
A trip to the Barossa Valley, in particular Nuriootpa, would not be complete for any geocachers without a visit to November’s Cache of the Month EEBTCPGGS. A field puzzle at the posted coordinates is the creation of SnappyTomCats.
There are very few geocaches you want to visit again and again. This is one of those caches. Gawler Fort Knox was published on 3rd May 2015.
